VULCAN LANDING
“Vulcan Landing” is a very Abstract painting that has several meanings wrapped up in its one concept.
The Golden Yellow triangle obviously in its Abstract form, depicts the Vulcan V-Bomber Aircraft landing on
what looks like a red runway with previous tyre skid marks upon it. The lines on the canvas represent the
runway layout of airfields.
However Vulcan also lends its name to the Volcano (the reason for the Vulcan Bomber Aircraft to be so
named) and the Golden Yellow triangle also represents an active Volcano with now the red runway
symbolising a stream of red-hot lava.
The blue line symbolises the coolness of the waters that lies in the distance with the green fields
symbolised by the green line that is trying to reach out towards you, but both are being cut through
by the aggressive raw power.
What is shown is Power, Heat and Pure Raw Energy. The Vulcan Bomber Aircraft was designed to carry
the Nuclear Bomb that had the power of hundreds of Volcanoes.
The “Vulcan Landing” is a machine of power, holding Pure Raw Energy and returning into what it is
and symbolises…
… Destruction.
